**UNSAFE BUILDING/STRUCTURE** THIS PROPERTY IS
UNINHABITED AND HAS BEEN FOR AT LEAST 10 YEARS.
THE LAST BIG STORM (ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO?) KNOCKED
DOWN A HUGE TREE WHICH CAUSED SERIOUS ROOF DAMAGE.
ABOUT 2-1/2 WEEKS AGO WE FINALLY CALLED THE OWNER
AND LEFT A RESPECTFUL MESSAGE ASKING HIM TO
ADDRESS THE ISSUE; WE EVEN SUGGESTED PERHAPS HE
COULD JUST "TIDY UP" THE DAMAGE BY TRIMMING OFF
THE HANGING ALUMINUM SO IT DIDN'T LOOK SO BAD. WE
ALSO SAID WE'D BE GLAD TO HELP HIM OUT IF HE
NEEDED IT. FOLKS OUT HERE TRY TO KEEP THEIR
PROPERTIES LOOKING NICE AND A FEW OF THEM ARE
TRYING TO SELL THEIR HOMES, BUT ANY POTENTIAL
BUYERS WOULD OBVIOUSLY BE TURNED OFF BY THE SIGHT.
POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUES: AN OPEN WATER-LOGGED
HOUSE IS A PERFECT REFUGE FOR VERMIN, AND THE
STAGNANT POOL A BREEDING GROUND FOR MOSQUITOES AND
MORE, NOT TO MENTION A CLEAR HAZARD TO ANY
CHILDREN WHO MIGHT EXPLORE THE VACANT PROPERTY. IS
ELECTRICAL SERVICE STILL BEING SUPPLIED? INTEGRITY
OF THE PROPANE TANK? ETC. THANK YOU.

07-28-202506:09 PMINITIAL INSPECTIONMADE SITE VISIT. THIS IS A CBS SFR IN
SUSPECT STRUCTURAL CONDITION. A TREE HAS
FALLEN ON THE HOME DAMAGING THE ROOF
SYSTEM LEAVING A LARGE HOLE IN THE ROOF
ALLOWING WATER INTRUSION INTO THE
INTERIOR OF THE STRUCTURE. HOME WAS
LOCKED AND SECURE SO INTERIOR INSPECTION
WAS NOT POSSIBLE. EXTERIOR INSPECTION
SHOWS DEFINITE SIGNS OF SETTLEMENT WITH
LARGE SETTLEMENT CRACKS ALONG THE NORTH
SIDE OF THE HOME BY THE GARAGE DOORS AND
ALONG THE FRONT OF THE HOME. THE POOL
HAS "FLOATED" DAMAGING THE POOL DECK ON
ALL 4 SIDES AND MOST LIKELY DAMAGING THE
PLUMBING SYSTEM OF THE POOL. THE POOL
WILL HAVE TO BE ABANDONED AND DEMOLISHED
ALONG WITH THE POOL DECK. THERE IS NO
ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE STRUCTURE AND
THE GAS TANK IS IN COMPLIANCE. TO AVOID
DEMOLITION OF THE HOME THE FOLLOWING
STEPS WILL NEED TO OCCUR.
1. AN INTERIOR INSPECTION WILL HAVE TO
BE ARRANGED TO DETERMINE EXTENT OF
INTERIOR DAMAGE.
2. A PERMIT WILL HAVE TO BE OBTAINED FOR
ROOF SYSTEM AND ROOF ASSEMBLY REPAIRS.
3. A PERMIT WILL HAVE TO BE OBTAINED FOR
FOUNDATION STABILIZATION.
4. A PERMIT WILL HAVE TO BE OBTAINED FOR
DEMOLITION/ABANDONMENT OF THE POOL
STRUCTURE AND DECK.
ALONG WITH THESE STRUCTURAL ISSUES THE
PREMISES ARE OVERGROWN WITH HIGH GRASS
AND WEEDS. TO CLOSE THIS CODE CASE THE
PREMISES WILL HAVE TO BROUGHT INTO
COMPLAINCE ALONG WITH THE STRUCTURAL
CONCERNS.

OWNER OF RECORD FOR THEIR INFORMATION
WITH REQUEST TO CALL THE CODE
ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT (863-402-6641) TO
PROVIDE INFORMATION OF INTENTIONS FOR
THIS PROPERTY.
