A WOODEN FENCE WAS CONSTRUCTED ON COUNTY
RIGHT-OF-WAY. IN THE PAST THIS PROPERTY OWNER HAS
PUT DOWN CLAY AND THEN ASPHALT IN THE COUNTY
RIGHT-OF-WAY WITHOUT A PERMIT SO I’M ASSUMING HE
DID THE SAME WITH THE WOODEN FENCING. BESIDES
BEING IN THE RIGHT-OF-WAY, IT BLOCKS THE
FIREBREAK. THE FIREBREAK IS JUST THAT AND IS USED
AS AN INTERNAL ROAD BY FWC, FORESTRY, AND HIKERS.
THE GORNTO’S DO NOT OWN THE LAND THEY INSTALLED
THE WOODEN FENCING ON. THEY PUSHED THE GATE BACK
OFF RIVERDALE FARTHER AND ADDED A STRETCH OF
WOODEN FENCE ON BOTH SIDES. IT’S COMMON TO SEE
WHEN YOU ACTUALLY OWN THE PROPERTY. SO IF YOUR
STAFF MEMBERS DRIVES TO THAT INTERSECTION OF
RIVERDALE AND E FRASERI STREET, HE/SHE WILL SEE
THE NEW WOODEN FENCE AND THE FIRE LANE IT’S
BLOCKING.
