ON AUGUST 20, 2024, I POSTED THE
PROPERTY FOR NUISANCE HIGH GRASS/WEEDS,
ACCUMULATION OF TRASH/DEBRIS AND AN
UNLICENSED/INOPERABLE VESSEL/VEHICLE,
PURSUANT TO HIGHLANDS COUNTY CODE OF
ORDINANCES SECTIONS 5.6-3(NUISANCE
PROHIBITED) AND
5-20(UNLICENSED/INOPERABLE
VESSELS/VEHICLES PROHIBITED). THE
NOTICES WERE MAILED CERTIFIED/REGULAR
MAIL.

THE PROPERTY WAS TAKEN TO THE SPECIAL
MAGISTRATE ON NOVEMBER 6, 2024, DUE TO
NON-COMPLIANCE.

AT THAT TIME, AN ORDER WAS EXECUTED BY
THE SPECIAL MAGISTRATE ALLOWING THE
COUNTY TO ABATE THE PROPERTY OF THE
NUISANCES, WHICH OCCURRED ON MONDAY,
NOVEMBER 18,2024 BY TWO CONTRACTORS.
TOWING CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE THE VEHICLE
AND SECOND CONTRACTOR MOWED ALL HIGH
GRASS/WEEDS AND REMOVED ALL TRASH/DEBRIS
FROM THE PROPERTY BOTH BRINING THE
PROPERTY INTO FULL COMPLIANCE.

THE ORIGINAL LIEN THAT HAS BEEN RECORDED
WITH THE HIGHLANDS COUNTY CLERK OF
COURTS, OR BOOK 3079 PAGE 1534 IN THE
AMOUNT OF $650.36. THE ADDED EXPENSE FOR
CLEAN-UP WILL BE A SECOND RECORDING OF
THE COST INCURRED FOR THIS, WHICH HAS
NOT HAPPENED AS OF TODAY’S DATE.
