REAR YARD. PERMIT IS NOT NEEDED FOR
INSTALLATION OF AN ABOVE GROUND POOL.
THE REAR YARD IS ENCLOSED WITH A 4' WIRE
FENCE WHICH PROVIDES A BARRIER FOR THE
POOL IN ADDITION TO THE 4' SIDES OF THE
POOL WHICH QUALIFY AS A BARRIER. THERE
IS ALSO A WOOD DECK CONSTRUCTED ADJACENT
TO THE POOL. THIS DECK APPEARS TO BE @
24" IN HEIGHT. BUILDING AND ZONING
REGULATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO A DECK OF
THIS KIND UNLESS IT IS OVER 30" ABOVE
ADJACENT GRADE. THIS DECK DOES NOT
REQUIRE PERMITTING ALONG WITH THE POOL.
I WILL CLOSE THIS CASE BUT WILL ALSO
SEND A COPY OF THIS REPORT TO OWNER OF
RECORD TO INFORM THAT THEY SHOULD REMOVE
A PORTION OF THE DECK SO THAT IT DOES
NOT ABUT THE POOL. THIS SHOULD BE DONE
FOR INSURANCE REASONS, NOT TO MEET
FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. CLOSE CASE.
