CONDITION. THE ROOF ASSEMBLY HAS BLOWN
OFF PRESUMABLY DURING HURICANE IRMA
SEVERAL YEARS AGO. THE ROOF JAS BEEN
TARPED AND TARP IS NOW DETERIORATED AND
NONEXISTANT. ROOF DECKING IS EXPOSED
WITH SIGNS OF DAMAGE AND FAILURE. THERE
IS ALSO A LARGE PINE TREE THAT HAS
RECENTLY FALLEN ON THE HOME. THIS TREE
HAS PENETRATED THE ROOF DECK AND IS
LAYING ON THE ROOF OF THE HOME. NO ONE
ANSWERED THE DOOR SO I ENTERED THE REAR
YARD TO INVESTIGATE THE TREE DAMAGE.
WHILE AT THE REAR OF THE HOME I OBSERVED
THAT THE REAR DOOR WAS IN THE OPEN
POSITION WITH ONLY A GLASS STORM DOOR
ENCLOSING THE OPENING. OBSERVATION
THROUGH THIS GLASS DOOR THERE WERE
GROCERY ITEMS STACKED ON THE TABLE AND
IT APPEARS THAT SOMEONE IS LIVING IN
THIS HOUSE. I COULD SEE CEILING DAMAGE
IN THE LIVING ROOM CEILING WHICH HAS
COLLAPSED AND HAS EXTENSIVE MOLD GROPWTH
FROM WATER INTRUSION. HOME APPEARS TO BE
STRUCTURALLY SOUND OTHER THAN THE ROOF
DECKING. A NEW ROOF PERMIT WOULD ENTAIL
REPLACING THE DAMAGED DECKING. THE
EXTENT OF THE INTERIOR REPAIR NEEDED IS
UNDETERMINED. THIS PROPERTY MAY BE A
CANDIDATE FOR HOUSING ASSISTANCE. I WILL
SEND A COPY OF THIS REPORT TO OWNER OF
RECORD TO INFORM OF POSSIBLE GRANT
FUNDING ASSISTANCE TO RENOVATE THE HOME.

FOR SHIP FUNDS TO REPAIR THE STRUCTURE.
SPOKE WITH NEIGHORS, THEY SAID THE
FEMALE COMES AND GOES, AND IS THERE AT
NIGHTS MOSTLY. INFORMED THEM TO GIVE CE
AT LEAST 30 DAYS FOR AN UPDATE, AS IT
WILL TAKE TIME TO GET REPORT FROM BLDG.
