COMPLAINT NOW IS THAT SHED WAS ENLARGED
WITHOUT PERMIT. I MADE SITE VISIT AND
OBSERVED A BOW FRAME STEEL SHED
STRUCTURE THAT APPEARED TO NOT BE
RECENTLY INSTALLED. I CALLED THE
COMPLAINANT JOHN (863-605-4321)TO
CONFIRM BASIS OF COMPLAINT. JOHN
REPORTED THAT SHED IN QUESTION WAS
ENLARGED WITHOUT A PERMIT. I ASKED WHEN
THIS MIGHT HAVE OCCURRED AND HE SAID NEW
OWNER HAD BOUGHT THIS PROPERTY A YEAR
AGO SO WITHIN THE PAST YEAR. I INFORMED
THAT IF WE HAD BEEN INFORMED WHEN WORK
WAS IN PROGRESS THAT WE COULD HAVE
STOPPED THE WORK BUT AT THIS POINT I
WOULD MAKE INSPECTION TO CHECK FOR CODE
COMPLIANCE, AS THIS IS THE INTENTION OF
PERMITTING, AND IF COMPLIANT I WOULD
CLOSE THE COMPLAINT. HE STATED, THERE
WAS NO WAY IT WOULD BE COMPLIANT. I
INFORMED THAT THOOSE TYPE STRUCTURES ARE
ENGINEERED AND ONLY REQUIRE ANCHORING TO
MEET WIND LOADS. HE REQUESTED THAT I
CALL HIM WITH MY INSPECTION RESULTS AND
SAID HE JUST DIDN'T WANT DEBRIS ON HIS
PROPERTY IN NEXT STORM. I THEN WENT BACK
TO SITE AND SPOKE WITH THE OWNER MR.
DUNN. HE REPORTED THAT ISSUES HAVE BEEN
ONGOING WITH THIS NEIGHBOR. I CHECKED
THE SHED STRUCTURE AND IT IS COMPLIANT
WITH BUILDING CODE REGULATIONS.
CONSTRUCTED AND ANCHORED IN SAME FASHION
AS MANY SIMILAR STRUCTURES WE HAVE
INSPECTED. BEFORE GETTING BACK TO OFFICE
TO WRITE REPORT I RECEIVED A CALL FROM
JOHN REQUESTING RESULTS FROM MY
INSPECTION AND A CASE NUMBER. I TOLD HIM
I WOULD WRITE THE REPORT AND EMAIL HIM
THE CASE NUMBER SO HE COULD REQUEST A
COPY OF THE REPORT. HIS EMAIL IS

CONSTRUCTION I WILL CLOSE THIS CASE.
