HAS CLOSED THEIR CASE. THE POOL HAS HAD
A COVER INSTALLED MAKING COMPLIANT. THE
TARP ON THE ROOF IS NOW GONE EXPOSING
ENTIRE ROOF. SHINGLES ARE WELL WEATHERED
AND IN NEED OF REPLACEMENT BUT ARE
LARGELY INTACT. PREVIOUS INTERIOR
INSPECTION SHOWED NO SIGN OF WATER
INTRUSION. ROOF IS COMPLIANT. I CHECKED
THE DOORS FOR SECURITY AND FOUND A REAR
DOOR UNLOCKED FROM THE POOL AREA
ALTHOUGH A LOCK BOX IS IN PLACE. THERE
IS POSSIBILITY THAT SQUATTERS MAY BE
USING THE SYRUCTURE. MANAGEMENT COMPANY
OR OWNER NEED TO CONFIRM STRUCTURE IS
LOCKED AND SECURE AND REMAINS THAT WAY.
WITH ISSUES COMPLIANT I WILL CLOSE THIS
CASE AND SEND A COPY TO MANAGEMENT
COMPANY.

ROOF PERMIT IS OBTAINED.

SERVICING. HE STATED THAT THEY WANTED TO
FOLLOW UP IN REGARDS TO THE PUBLIC
HEARING. HE SAID THE PROPERTY HAS
CHANGED OWNERSHIP, BUT THEY STILL HAVE
AN INTEREST IN THE PROPERTY. INFORMED
HIM THAT THE PROPERTY WAS BROUGHT INTO
COMPLIANCE, AND SENT HIM A COPY OF THE
AFF. OF COMPLIANCE, ALONG WITH THE CASE
HISTORY TO SHOW THE CASE WAS CLOSED.
ALSO INFORMED HIM OF AN OPEN BUILDING
DEPARTMENT COMPLAINT, ALSO SENT HIM THE
HISTORY FROM THIS CASE CE 18060117 FOR
HIS USE. INFORMED HIM THAT THIS CASE HAS
NOT BEEN TURNED OVER TO CE, AS FAR AS I
COULD SEE AT THIS POINT. COPYING THESE
SAME NOTES INTO THE BLDG CASE FOR

06-13-201803:14 PMINITIAL INSPECTIONMADE SITE VISIT AND FOUND AN APPARENTLY
ABANDONED SFR. PREMISES ARE OVERGROWN
WITH HIGH GRASS AND WEEDS AND LARGE
FALLEN TREE BRANCHES. ROOF HAS A TARP
APPLIED AND EXPOSED SHINGLED ROOF SHOWS
DIRE NEED OF REPLACEMENT. I OBSERVED NO
BROKEN PANES OF GLASS IN THE WINDOWS AND
DOORS AND NO OBVIOUS STRUCTURAL
DEFICIENCIES. THERE IS A POOL IN THE
REAR YARD THAT HAS BEEN ABANDONED WHICH
HOLDS APPROXIMATELY 24" OF WATER. POOL
IS ENCLOSED WITH A CHAINLINK FENCE WHICH
HAS WEEDS GROWN UP AND THROUGH IT. THE
FRONT ENTRY DOOR WAS LOCKED AND SECURE
BUT THE REAR ENTRY DOOR INTO THE GARAGE
WAS CLOSED BUT UNLOCKED. I FOUND THE
GARAGE COMPLETELY CLUTTERED WITH
BELONGINGS AND DEBRIS. THE ENTRY DOOR
INTO THE HOME FROM THE GARAGE WAS ALSO
LOCKED AND SECURED. THE REAR ENTRY DOOR
FROM THE POOL AREA WAS STANDING IN THE
OPEN POSITION AND TWO MORE ENTRY DOORS
FROM THE POOL DECK WERE CLOSED BUT
UNLOCKED. ENTRY INTO THE HOME FOUND
EVERY ROOM TOTALLY COVERED WITH DEBRIS
AND BELONGINGS. HOME APPEARS TO BE
STRUCTURALLY SOUND WITH NO COLLAPSED
CEILINGS AND SURPRISINGLY LITTLE SIGN OF
WATER INTRUSION FROM ROOF FAILURE. THE
ELECTRIC POWER HAS BEEN TURNED OFF SO
THERE IS NO POWER TO THE RESIDENCE.
AFTER DOCUMENTING CONDITIONS WITH
PICTURES I ATTEMPTED TO LOCK AND SECURE
THE STRUCTURE WHILE LEAVING BUT WAS
UNABLE TO DO SO AS TWO OF THE REAR ENTRY
DOORS WOULD NOT PROPERLY LATCH AND LOCK.
HOME WILL NEED TO BE CLEANED OF DEBRIS
AND LOCKED AND SECURED TO PREVENT
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS. PREMISES WILL ALSO
NEED TO BE CLEANED OF DEBRIS AND YARD
MOWED TO MEET STANDARD HOUSING CODE
REQUIREMENTS. THE HOME IS ALSO IN DIRE
NEED OF ROOF REPLACEMENT. FAILURE TO DO
SO WILL RESULT IN STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO
THE ROOF SYSTEM.
