OWNER CAME IN. HE NEEDS AN INSPECTION DONE ON HIS
DOUBLE WIDE MOBHILE HOME THAT WAS DAMAGED DURING
THE HURRICANE. HE IS WAITING ON THE INSURANCE
COMPANY AND CONTRACTORS BUT IN THE MEAN TIME HE
DOES FOSTER CARE AND NEEDS A REPORT FROM THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT ABOUT THE CONDITON OF THE HOME
AND IF IT CAN BE REPAIRED.

03-06-201807:38 AMINITIAL INSPECTIONTHIS IS A DOUBLEWIDE MOBILE HOME IN FAIR
CONDITION. HOME IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND
WITH NO APPARENT DEFICIENCIES IN THE
BLOCK AND TIE SYSTEM. THERE ARE NO
BROKEN PANES OF GLASS IN THE WINDOWS.
HURRICANE IRMA HAS REMOVED SOME OF THE
SHINGLES FROM THE ROOF. IT HAS A TARP
COVERING UNTIL REPLACEMENT CAN OCCUR.
THE VINYL SIDING HAS ALSO BEEN REMOVED
IN AREAS FROM STORM. THE REAR DECK/
PORCH AREA HAS ALSO BEEN DESTROYED BY
THE HIGH WINDS. THERE IS NO SKIRTING
AROUND THE MOBILE HOME AT THIS TIME. I
DO NOT KNOW IF THIS IS DUE TO STORM
DAMAGE. INTERIOR INSPECTION SHOWS
REPAIRS AND REMODEL WORK IN PROGRESS.
CEILING SHOWS STAINING FROM WATER
INTRUSION IN AREAS NOTABLY AROUND THE
SKYLITE AND THE CEILING IN THE HALLWAY.
THE MASTER BATROOM IS IN PROGRESS OF
REPAIR WITH REPLACEMENT OF SUBFLOOR IN
THE TUB AND SHOWER AREAS. THE SINK
CABINET IN THIS BATH IS DAMAGED WITH
BASE OF CABINET DETERIORATED. THE REAR
ENTRY DOOR INTO THE UTILITY ROOM HAS
LEAKED ALONG THE SILL AND THE SUBFLOOR
IS DAMAGED AND WEAK AND NEEDS TO BE
REPAIRED. THE REAR SLIDING GLASS DOOR IS
VIRTUALLY INOPERABLE AND NEEDS TO BE
REPLACED. THE WATER HEATER DOES NOT HAVE
A RELIEF LINE CONNECTED AND THE
ELECTRICAL WIRING DOES NOT MEET CODE
REQUIREMENTS. CORRECTED WIRING AND
ADDITION OF A RELIEF LINE TO EXTERIOR
WILL BE NEEDED. THERE ARE ALSO VARIOUS
ELECTRICAL DEVISES WITHOUT COVERS THAT
NEED TO BE CORRECTED. THERE IS A
PLUMBING LEAK SOMEWHERE IN THE UTILITY
ROOM AREA. WATER CAN BE SEEN DRIPPING
BENEATH THE MOBILE HOME IN THIS AREA BUT
I COULD NOT DETERMINE THE SOURSE OF THIS
LEAK. HOME IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND BUT IN
NEED OF MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR TO MEET
STANDARD HOUSING CODE REGULATIONS AND
PROVIDE SAFE ENVIRONMAENT.
