TOLD HIM THAT STRUCTURE WILL HAVE TO BE
SECURED, DOORS AND WINDOWS BOARDED OR
MADE OPERABLE TO PREVENT ACCESS, AND
THAT PERMIT WOULD BE REQUIRED FOR
REHABILITATION. IF STRUCTURE IS SECURED
I WILL WORK WITH HIM AS FAR AS TIME
FRAME FOR REHAB.
05-26-201606:16 PMINITIAL INSPECTIONTHIS IS A SINGLE FAMILY STRUCTURE. IT
HAS NO POWER CONNECTION TO STRUCTURE AND
PLYWOOD COVERING MOST OF THE WINDOWS.
THE WOOD FRONT PORCH FLOOR IS WEAK AND
STRUCTURALLY QUESTIONABLE. THE FRONT
DOOR WAS STANDING IN THE OPEN POSITION.
LOOKING INSIDE THERE IS CONSTRUCTION
MATERIAL LYING ABOUT INSIDE. I QUESTION
IF REPAIRS ARE BEING ATTEMPTED OR IF
HOUSE IS BEING USED FOR STORAGE OF THESE
ITEMS AS NO REPAIR WORK IS IN PROGRESS
AND LUMBER APPEARS TO BE USED MATERIAL.
THE REAR PORCH ROOF IS ROTTED AND
COLLAPSING. THE ROOF STRUCTURE DOES NOT
MEET CODE REQUIREMENTS AND TOTAL
REPLACEMENT WILL NEED TO TAKE PLACE.
THIS ROOF EXTENDS INTO THE LIVING AREA
OF THE HOME AND THE REAR PORTION OF THE
HOME SHOWS SIGNS OF WATER INTRUSION FROM
THIS ROOF. REHABILITATION OF THIS
STRUCTURE COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED BUT WILL
REQUIRE PERMITTING AND INSPECTION BUT IN
MY ESTIMATION THE COST OF REPAIR WOULD
CERTAINLY EXCEED THE APPRAISED VALUE OF
THE STRUCTURE. THEREFORE I WOULD
RECOMMEND DEMOLITION AND REMOVAL OF THE
STRUCTURE FROM THE PROPERTY.
