INSTALLATION OF PARK MODEL.

REPAIRS WOULD BE MADE. I ALSO SPOKE WITH
TERRY MILLER WHO IS THE STATE INSPECTOR
WHO WAS CONTACTED REGARDING THIS CASE.
TERRY AND I AGREED THAT COMPLAINT STEMS
FROM COSMETIC ISSUES AND ARE NOT
STRUCTURAL CONCERNS AS BLOCK AND TYE
SYSTEMS ARE CODE COMPLIANT. TERRY
CONFIRMED THAT REPAIRS WERE MADE AND
CUSTOMER WAS SATISFIED. I TRIED TO CALL
MRS. FRETTWELL TO CONFIRM BUT HAVE NOT
BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT HER. I WILL CLOSE
THIS CASE AS I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM
COMPLAINTANT IN SEVERAL MONTHS.
05-23-201608:07 PMINITIAL INSPECTIONCALLED MRS. FRETWELL ABOUT CONCERNS. SHE
IS OUT OF TOWN BUT SAID NEIGHBOR HAD
KEYS TO HOME. MADE SITE VISIT AND
OBTAINED KEY FROM NEIGHBOR TO DO
INSPECTION. NEIGHBOR HAD LIST OF
CONCERNS FROM MRS. FRETWELL. LIST OF
CONCERNS ARE PRIMARILY PUNCHLIST ITEMS
OF FINAL INSTALLATION EXCEPT FOR CONCERN
OF WEAK FLOORING AROUND THE TOILET IN
THE HALL BATH. THIS IS A STRUCTURAL
CONCERN AND FLOOR IS WEAK AROUND THIS
TOILET. PLACING STANDING WEIGHT AROUND
TOILET BASE CAUSES TOILET TO ROCK FROM
SIDE TO SIDE. I SUSPECT THAT THE FLOOR
JOIST SYSTEM HAS BEEN COMPROMISED IN
SOME WAY FROM THE FACTORY BUT DID NOT
REMOVE SKIRTING TO DO INSPECTION BENEATH
MOBILE HOME. OTHER ITEMS OF CONCERN WERE
TRIM WORK, A THRESHOLD BETWEEN MASTER
BEDROOM AND MASTER BATHROOM WHERE CARPET
MEETS VINYL FLOORING, REPLACING A
CABINET DOOR WHICH APPARENTLY HAS BEEN
DONE, REPLACING A BROKEN WINDOW WHICH
HAS ALSO APPARENTLY BEEN DONE AND SOME
CAULKING AND SPACKLING FINISH WORK.
CONCERNS WITH THE ENTRY STEPS HAVE BEEN
RESOLVED BY OWNERS SON POURING CONCRETE
BASE FOR THE STEPS. ISSUES WITH DAMAGED
SKIRTING HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. A CRACK
IN THE CEILING ABOVE THE TUB COULD NOT
BE FOUND AND MAY HAVE BEEN REPAIRED
ALSO. COMPLAINTS ARE JUSTIFIED AS THESE
ITEMS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AS PART OF
FINAL INSTALLATION AND PURCHASE
AGREEMENT. MOBILE IS STRUCTURALLY SOUND
AND HAS PASSED BLOCK AND TIE AND PARK
AND SERVICE INSPECTION BUT PUNCHLIST
ITEMS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ALTHOUGH NOT
PART OF STRUCTURAL INSPECTION. LACK OF
RESPONSE FROM DEALER/SELLER WILL RESULT
IN OWNER FILING COMPLAINT WITH LICENSE
REVIEW BOARD.
