MOTHER HAS MOVED OUT OF SECOND TENANT
SPACE AND IN WITH DAUGHTER IN PRIMARY
TENANT SPACE. INSPECTION OF PROPERTY
CONFIRMS A SECOND SEPERATE LIVING AREA
HAS BEEN CREATED ON THE SOUTH END OF
THIS HOME. THERE IS NO ACCESS BETWEEN
THE LIVING AREAS EFFECTIVELY MAKING THIS
A DUPLEX UNIT WHICH DOES NOT MEET ZONING
REGULATIONS FOR R1 ZONING. PERMITS WERE
NOT OBTAINED FOR THIS REMODEL WORK. WHEN
THIS REMODEL WAS DONE IS UNDETERMINED
AND MOST LIKELY WAS PERFORMED BEFORE
INTERIOR REMODEL PERMIT WAS REQUIRED. I
WILL FORWARD TO CODE ENFORCEMENT FOR
THEIR CONSIDERATION FOR PROCEDURE.

PERMITTING. HE SAID THAT THE PROPERTY
MATCHES THE APPRAISERS DOCUMENTS, SO NO
ADDITION HAS BEEN MADE TO THE STRUCTURE.
HE DID TALK TO THE OCCUPANT AND THAT
THEY DID CONFIRM THAT IT WAS BEING USED
AS A DUPLEX UNIT BUT WOULD NOT ALLOW
ACCESS. SPOKE WITH LINDA TO QUESTION IF
WE COULD PERSUE THIS AS A ZONING
NONCOMPLIANT ISSUE. WITHOUT ACCESS WE
CANNOT CONFIRM NONCOMPLIANCE AND IF WE
COULD A SIMPLE ACCESS FROM ONE UNIT TO
THE OTHER WOULD MEET COMPLIANCE AS NOT
BEING A DUPLEX. WE CANNOT REGULATE THE
RENTING OF A ROOM OR AREA OF THE HOUSE
UNLESS THEY WERE TO ASK FOR SEPERATE
ADDRESSING. WE WILL HAVE TO CLOSE CASE
AS WE CANNOT CONFIRM NONCOMPLIANCE.

CONVERTED INTO A DUPLEX. IT DOES APPEAR
THAT AN ADDITION HAS BEEN MADE TO THE
PROPERTY AS THERE ARE NEWER SHINGLES ON
THE ROOF OVER THE SOUTH PORTION WHERE
THE GARAGE DOOR IS LOCATED. IT APPEARS
THAT THE EXISTING GARAGE AREA MAY HAVE
BEEN ENCLOSED AND A NEW GARAGE ADDED TO
THAT END OF THE HOUSE. SEARCHED OUR
RECORDS AND FOUND NO PERMIT FOR THIS
ADDRESS. SPOKE WITH JAMIE FROM PROPERTY
APPRAISERS OFFICE ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY
OF THEIR OFFICE DOING A CHECK TO
CONFIRM THAT AN ADDITION WAS DONE
WITHOUT PERMITING, HE SAID THAT WOULD BE
POSSIBLE. I WILL ASK THEM TO DO THAT
AND PROCEED FROM THERE.
