SAFETY HAZARD DURING HIGH WINDS OR A HURRICANE.

REQUESTING INSPECTION OF ROOF AT THIS
PROPERTY. CHECKED FOR PRIOR CASE AND
FOUND THIS OPEN CASE. THE METAL ROOF HAS
BEEN REMOVED THAT WAS A DANGER. THERE
ARE SUPPORT BEAMS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
THE BUILDING THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT EXPOSED
TO THE WEATHER AND THEY ARE ROTTED TO
POINT OF FAILURE. THESE BEAMS AND THE
LEDGER BOARD ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE
OPEN AREA OF THE REAR OF THE BUILDING
NEED TO BE REMOVED. THE SHINGLE ROOF ON
THE EAST ADDITION OF THE BUILDING IS
WELL AGED AND THERE IS A HOLE IN THE
ROOF. THIS HOLE HAS APPARENTLY BEEN
THERE FOR QUITE SOME TIME AS THE TRUSS
THAT IS EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER IS ROTTED
AND BROKEN. THE REST OF THE SHEATHING IS
STAINED FROM WATER INTRUSION WITH
SECTIONS THAT HAVE ROTTED. THIS PORTION
OF THE ROOF WILL HAVE TO BE REDECKED AND
RESHINGLED ALONG WITH ENGINEERED REPAIRS
TO THE DAMAGED TRUSSES. THIS WORK WILL
REQUIRE PERMITTING AND WILL HAVE TO BE
COMMENCED IN A TIMELY MATTER OR
CONDEMNATION OF THE STRUCTURE WILL HAVE
TO OCCUR. I WOULD RECOMMEND A 60 DAY
COMPLIANCE TIME PERIOD.
10-08-201408:33 AMINITIAL INSPECTIONI WENT TO THIS SITE AND ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF THE BUILDING I FOUND LOOSE
SHEETS OF TIN ROOFING AND SOME ROTTEN
ROOF SHEATHING. I SPOKE WITH THE OWNER
AND HE SAID THAT HE WOULD REMOVE THE
LOOSE TIN AND CLEAN UP THE SHEATHING
MATERIAL BY THE FIRST OF THE WEEK.
