I MET WITH THE OWNER TO DO AN INTERIOR
INSPECTION OF THE HOME. I FOUND SEVERAL
AREAS OF TERMITE DAMAGE TO THE WALLS.
THERE ARE SEVERAL WEAK SPOTS IN THE
FLOOR WHERE THE FLOOR JOIST HAVE ROTTED
OOFF THE SUPPORT BEAM. THERE ARE AT
LEAST SIX HOLES IN THE FLOOR WHERE
SOMEONE FELL THROUGH THE FLOORING. THE
FRAMING AROUND THE WINDOWS ARE BADLY
EATEN BY TERMITES AND HAVE NO SUPPORTIVE
VALUE. THE TUB IN THE BATHROOM IS
LILING THROUGH THE FLOOR DUE TO ROTTEN
WOOD AND JOIST. DUE TO THE EXTENT OF
DAMAGE AND THE UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE
FLOOR AND WAALS, I RECOMMEND REMOVAL
FROM THE PROPERTY.

THIS IS A WOOD FRAME BUILDING WITH A
RAISED WOOD FLOOR SYSTEM. THE HOME WAS
LOCKED SO NO INTERIOR INSPECTION WAS
MADE. BY OBSERVING THROUGH THE WINDOWS,
I SAW NO SIGNS OF ROOF LEAKS. THERE WAS
A LAYER OF PLYWOOD INSTALLED OVER THE
OLD 1X3 FLOORING. THE FRONT AND REAR
DOORS WERE IN PLACE AND IN GOOD
CONDITION. THE WINDOWS WERE ALL INTACT
ALSO AND APPEARED TO BE IN WORKING
CONDITION. THE WINDOWS WERE ALL INTACT
ALSO AND APPEARED TO BE IN WORKING
CONDITION. THE ROOF IS A 3 TAB SHINGLE
THAT WILL PROBABLY LAST ANOTHER 3 TO 4
YEARS. THE FRONT PORCH FLOORING WAS
WEAK IN SEVERAL PLACES AND HAS SEVERAL
BOARDS NAILED ON TOP OF IT. THESE
BOARDS NEED TO BE REMOVED AND THE PORCH
REDECKED AND HAVE SOME POSSIBLE FLOOR
JOISTS REPLACED ALSO. WITH THIS PROBLEM
FIXED THE HOME SHOULD BE IN LIVABLE
CONDITION SUBJECT TO AN INTERIOR
INSPECTION.
