PROPERTY CLEANED UP AND ALL BUT ONE
OPENING IN THE WALLS HAVE BEEN BLOCKED
UP. SOME OF THE INTERIOR ROTTEN WOOD
HAS BEEN REMOVED ALSO. THERE IS STILL
SOME ROTTEN CEILING JOISTS AND TRUSSES
IN THE ATTIC AREA. (SEE ENCLOSED
PICTURES) THE WALLS ARE VERY BADLY
CRACKED AND STILL PRESENT A DANGER TO
THE PUBLIC, ESPECIALLY THE WEST WALL.
THE UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE WALLS AND
THE REMAINING ROTTEN ROOF RAFTERS STILL
CREATE A DANGER TO THE PUBLIC AND I
RECOMMEND REMOVAL FROM THE PROPERTY AS
STATED IN 12-9-11 REPORT.
12-09-201104:33 PMINITIAL INSPECTIONS.Y. MOSELEY WENT TO SITE 12/09/211.
THIS STRUCTURE IS AN OLD ABANDONED
CONCRETE BLOCK BUILDING IN VERY BAD
CONDITION. THE ROOF SYSTEM HAS
COLLAPSED DUE TO ROTTEN RAFTERS FROM NO
ROOF COVERING. ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOOR
OPENINGS HAVE BEEN BLOCKED IN EXCEPT FOR
ONE DOORWAY ON THE WEST END AND ONE
DOORWAY ON THE EAST SIDE. THE EAST SIDE
HAS HAD THE DOOR REMOVED AND PLYWOOD IS
BOARDED OVER THE OPENING. THERE ARE
SOME CRACKS IN THE WALL FROM THE FORCE
OF THE RAFTERS COLLAPSING AND PUSHING
OUT ON THE WALL. THE WEST PARAPET WALL
HAS A CRACK IN IT WHICH FACES THE STREET
AND SIDEWALK AREA. THIS IS A VERY
UNSAFE SITUATION WHERE PEOPLE WALK
DIRECTLY UNDER THIS WALL. DUE TO THE
AMOUNT OF REPAIRS NEEDED, THE ENTIRE
BUILDING WOULD HAVE TO BE BROUGHT UP TO
THE CURRENT CODE. THIS BUILDING WAS
INSPECTED TWO(2) YEARS AGO AND
DETERMINED TO BE UNSAFE THEN, IT HAS
CONTINUED TO DETERIORATE SINCE. DUE TO
ITS UNSAFE CONDITION I RECOMMEND REMOVAL
FROM THE PROPERTY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
