VIOLATION AS THERE ARE TWO DWELLINGS ON
THE PROPERTY AND THE PROPERTY WOULD HAVE
TO BE SPLIT INTO TWO, FIVE ACRE PARCELS.
LINDA CONRAD ALSO STATED THE REASON THE
ZONING DEPARTMENT APPROVED THE OTHER
DWELLING WAS BECAUSE THE ZONING
DEPARTMENT WAS UNAWARE THERE WAS ANOTHER
DWELLING ON THE PROPERTY AS THE
HIGHLANDS COUNTY PROPERTY APPRAISER?S
OFFICE DID NOT SHOW THE OTHER DWELLING
OR A VALUE FOR IT. THE RESPONDENT
TESTIFIED THAT SHE THINKS THE STRUCTURE
HAS HISTORICAL VALUE, WANTS TO RESTORE
IT HISTORICALLY, AND WILL APPLY THROUGH
HIGHLANDS COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT FOR
HISTORICAL DESIGNATION. THE SPECIAL
MAGISTRATE ORDERED THAT THIS CASE WILL
BE CONTINUED TO THE DECEMBER 8, 2011,
PUBLIC HEARING AND THE RESPONDENT TO
BRING PROOF THAT: A) THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION COMMISSION DETERMINES THAT

SEVERAL HOLES IN THE WOOD FLOORING FROM
ROTTEN WOOD AND THE FLOOR JOISTS ARE
ROTTING ALSO. THE ROOF HAS SEVERAL
LEAKS IN IT AND THE CEILING IS FALLING
DOWN IN SEVERAL PLACES. THE OLD WOOD
SASH WINDOWS HAVE FALLEN OUT OF THE
FRAMES AND THERE IS NO GLASS IN THEM.
DUE TO THE UNSAFE CONDITION OF THE
STRUCTURE I RECOMMEND REMOVAL FROM THE
PROPERTY.

OFFICE CAME AND DROPPED OFF A PRINTOUT
SHOWING THE HOUSE THAT WAS TO BE
REMOVED, AND HAD A PERMIT TO DO SO, IS
STILL ON THE PROPERTY AND IS A HAZARD &
UNSAFE. THE UNSAFE STRUCTURE IS THE ONE
TO THE EAST OF THE NEW HOME. ANY
