INSTALL ONE SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE LIVING
ROOM AREA AND ONE IN THE HALLWAY BETWEEN
BEDROOMS. (SECTION 302.8) 2. WATER
HEATER TRIPS THE BREAKER PER THE OWNER
WHEN WATER FROM THE SHOWER WETS THE
WATER HEATER. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT THE
FRONT ROOM ADDITION IS POWERED BY THE
WATER HEATER CIRCUIT. NEED TO
DISCONNECT ANY OTHER BRANCH CIRCUITS
FROM THE WATER HEATER JUNCTION BOX.
(SECTION 302.4) 3. THE HALLWAY DOOR HAS
BEEN SCREWED SHUT AND CANNOT BE USED FOR
EGRESS. THIS DOOR SHOULD BE REPAIRED OR
REPLACED TO WORK PROPERLY. THIS IS THE
EGRESS POINT FOR THE END BEDROOM.
(SECTION 305.11.1 & 305.4) 4. THERE ARE
SEVERAL PLACES IN THE FLOOR THAT ARE
WEAK OR ROTTED. THESE AREAS NEED TO BE
REPAIRED TO PREVENT SOMEONE FROM
STEPPING THRU THE FLOOR. (SECTION
305.16.1) 5. THERE ARE 2-3 ROOF LEAKS
THAT NEED TO BE REPAIRED. ONE IS WHERE
THE OLD HEATER WAS INSTALLED AND ONE IS
IN THE CORNER OF THE SOUTH BEDROOM.
(SECTION 305.3.1) PLEASE CONTACT THE
BUILDING DEPARTMENT WHEN REPAIRS ARE
COMPLETE SO THAT WE CAN CLOSE THIS FILE.
IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE THE CASE WILL BE
TURNED OVER TO THE CODE ENFORCEMENT
