CLAIMED TENANT ADMITTED SHE HAD NOT
CHANGED IN AT LEAST 3 MONTHS. OWNER HAS
TOLD TENANT THAT SHE COULD MOVE OUT AT
ANY TIME AND BREAK CURRENT LEASE,
WITHOUT ANY COST TO TENANT. OWNER WOULD
LIKE SOMEONE TO COME DO A COURTESY
INSPECTION, AND VERY IF PROPERTY MEETS
STANDARD HOUSING REQUIREMENTS, AND
PROVIDE INSPECTION REPORT.

ORIGINAL LETTER FROM BUILDING OFFICAL,
AND ALSO POINTED OUT THAT HER HOME
ADDRESS ZIP CODE WAS INCORRECT, WHICH
MAY HAVE RESULTED IN LETTER NOT BEING
DELIVERED. I MADE THE SAME SUGGESTION TO
OWNER, THAT SHE AND TENANT TRY TO WORK
TOGETHER TO RESOLVE ANY DISPUTE. OWNER
SAID SHE WOULD HAVE ROOF AND ATTIC SPACE
CHECKED FOR ANY SIGNS OF CURRENT LEAKS,
WHEATHER FROM ROOF OR ATTIC MOUNTED AIR
HANDLING UNIT. OWNER ALSO CLAIMED SHE
HAD CARPETS PROFESSIONAL CLEANED A WEEK
AGO, AND CLEANING PERSON, SAID THERE

BUILDING OFFICIAL, INSPECTED PROPERTY
AND MAILED LETTER TO LANDLORD SUGGESTING
POSSIBLE REMEMDIES TO CORRECT
DEFICIENCES. TENANTS CLAIM ROOF STILL
LEAKING, ETC. TENANTS ARE GOING TO
CONSULT WITH LANDLORD ABOUT CORRECTING
ABOVE ITEMS AND ANY MOLD REMOVAL. IF NO
ACTION IS TAKEN, AND PROPERTY IS
INSPECTED AND MOLD IS FOUND, PROPERTY
COULD BE SUBJECT TO CONDEMNATION UNTIL

THEY SAID ROOF WAS STILL LEAKING & MOLD
WAS GROWING ON THE CEILING. I SAW THREE
AREAS WHERE REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE
CEILING FROM PREVIOUS LEAKS. I FOUND NO
NEW STAINS FROM LEAKS BUT THERE WAS ONE
PLACE IN THE UTILITY ROOM THAT WAS NOT
PAINTED OVER FROM PREVIOUS LEAKS. I SAW
NO MOLD ON THE WALLS OR CEILING. I
EXPLAINED TO TENANT THE OWNER WOULD NEED
TO GET SOMEONE TO CHECK THE A/C DUCTS &
GRILLS FOR MOLD. I TOLD HIM I WOULD
CONTACT OWNER W/THIS INFORMATION. THE
BEST COURSE OF ACTION WOULD BE FOR THE
TWO OF THEM TO GET TOGETHER & SET UP A
TIME FOR THIS TO BE DONE.
